MX Nationals Wanneroo May 13 2012

Round 4 of the MX Nationals at AJS Park Wanneroo on Sunday 13th of May saw some tough racing. I was mentioned on the day that this track maybe the toughest in Australia. A total of 33 riders lined up on the gates in the Pro Lite class and struggled the harshest conditions this Wanneroo track can throw at them. With 33 of the best Pro Lite riders in Australia lined up on the gate, it was going to be hell for leather and every one of them struggled to keep on but most saw it to the end. Birchy's mechanic Chris Back made some changes to the bike throughout the weekend and also a tyre change to see if this made the ride a little easier. Another tyre change after the 1st moto due to a large dent in the rim. Last moto, another dent in the 2nd rim, how do you do this in sand I dont know. (from a mums prospective)

Overall for the 3 moto's Birchy ended up taking out 13th spot. Although his goal was to get into the top 10, consistency kept him close on the ladder. Not one crash, stayed on the bike and persevered through severe arm pump all weekend. Finally overall Birchy was the top WA rider on the board for Pro Lites. Well done! The mow did washed off later on!
A big thankyou to everone on the weekend for the support, encouragement and hard work that goes into another day of racing. Chris Back, Peter & Luke Delpup, David's Dad Nigel and all the team who came along to help out and support him. To all the sponsors who make this possible, thankyou for helping make this year possible. GBF Underground Mining, The Honda Shop Megastore, Epic Lifestyle, Chris Back Engineering, DSA Group, Fast Lane Coaching, Steel Fitness and new sponsor on board after the weekend of the Nationals. This will be announced soon.
