David Birch makes the top 10 on his Honda 250cc, Manjimup 15000 for 2011. The only lites bike to sit in the top 10. A great effort. David entered into the lites class but was told on practice day Friday that he must ride in the Allstars. On the gate with some pretty fast machines and the riders who have become icons in their own right. How would the Honda 250cc match up to the 450cc on this famous track at Cosy Creek. Well pretty good so we found out. David stayed consistant in all 4 moto's sitting aro und the 9th to 11th placings. This gave him a final position of 10th overall for the Allstars with a gate start of 24 riders. Being up there with the top ten was a proud moment for his sponsors. The shoot out was also exciting with David being eliminated in 9th place. It came down to Michael Addison W.A and Jamie Law UK racing bar to
bar to the finish line with Addison going down close to
the finish. Although disappointed he was unable to ride the lites class, David enjoyed the day making a few fans in the pits. It was great to see sponsors Paul and Peggy Craine come into the pits to support David. Paul and Peggy sponsor a FMT (Folding Motorcycle Trailer) for the 2011 season. Peter Delpup (DSA Group Australia) also sponsors David and was there in the pits supporting in any way he could. Mechanics on the day, Chris Back and Peter Delpup were a great help constantly checking the bike and making any changes that were needed. Big thanks to the Honda Shop, GBF Mining; Bossen Clothing for this season and we look forward to the next State Round 3 at AJS, Wanneroo Park on the 26th of June.
